Even though no outsider can gain entry into the school campus, many students, on their own free will, go out of the campus. Therefore, the school cannot accept any responsibility for the movement of students in and out of the school campus during the lunch interval or after school hours or before the school starts in the morning.

PROHIBITION ON THE USE OF CELL PHONES IN THE CLASS-ROOM

11. Prohibition on the use of cell phones in the class-room We are enjoying the fruits of technological advancements. The calculator, to start with, the cell phone and the laptop have become a necessity nowadays. A large number of people, including children, have become addicts to these alluring gadgets. But, this facility interferes with our life style and routine, thus making it, at times, a nuisance to the user and to the neighbours as well. Therefore, in the interest of everybody, students are advised not to bring cell phones to the class-room, library or laboratory. Laptops can be brought in only if the facility is to be used in the class room to help in the process of teaching-learning and with the prior permission of the teacher / principal. The authorities of the school are within their powers if they confiscate cell phones or other gadgets from the students. Therefore, parents are requested to prevent their wards from carrying cell phones with them to school. The cell phone, which has broken the barriers of communication, is no doubt a boon – but not without its negative impacts namely, the health hazard, noise- pollution and denial of privacy to others, which make it a great nuisance.

Parents will have access only to the school office and to no other area of the school unless specifically permitted by the Principal. This rule is not applicable to the parents visiting the school to collect progress reports of their wards on ‘open days’.
